ahh would you by any chance have an FAQ or any tutorials?? I used to make hats a while ago and I always pinched the ears in when I sew them. Is that what you do in order to give them that "hollowed in" shape??
I'm afraid I don't have any tutorials of my own. I just practiced a lot with different techniques until I found what worked best. I still do, in fact!
I do fold over the ears halfway onto themselves when I'm sewing it into the hat itself. In this hat here the ears also have interfacing sewn into them. That makes them stand up rigid and can help the concave look. But interfacing is not always necessary unless you have very large ears.
If you do a search here on dA for fleece hat tutorial a few different ones come up. So maybe you can try that!

So gorgeous! As soon as you're free, or whenever you want, i'd love to have one of these custom made in the style of my character. *points to avvie* Just the hate being blue and white ear fluff and red stripes over the ears, nothing major! This looks fantastic by the way. I bet you get alot of work with these! You should make lots, set up a stall in a mall, or on the highstreet and sell them! Just a suggestion. Still, awesome work!
